Picture Linnie sitting on a stack of old books, tucked onto a shelf of collected treasures, or perched on a bedside table where her little pink teacup looks perfectly innocent until you notice the tiny duckling inside has butterfly wings. This one started with the teacup: pink, floral, a little romantic and already just strange enough with its spiderweb details. From there, Linnie needed her own tiny overgrown garden. She’s nestled between soft pinks, warm botanicals and preserved flowers, with a pair of delicate butterfly wings turning this little duckling into something that feels like she wandered straight out of a very peculiar fairytale. And the tiny “Lost and Found” plaque might be my favorite part. Like someone found this strange little creature somewhere she absolutely wasn’t supposed to be and decided to bring her home. She feels sweet, whimsical and just weird enough, basically everything I want a fairy duckling living in a teacup to be. Created with a real preserved duckling, real preserved butterfly wings, preserved florals and botanicals inside a glass globe, set into a decorative teacup and saucer. One available. Once Linnie finds her home, she’s gone.
