RIO's Prize Fighter - Sand Olive is a great new permit crab fly available in heavyweight and lightweight versions. The Prize Fighter is designed to land on the water with minimal noise and splash to reduce spooking wary permit. The use of hackle in addition to the flexible legs reduces the noise as it lands and a unique weighting of the fly under the crab's body helps it sink and keeps the hook riding upright. Use the heavyweight version in deeper water and the lightweight version in shallower water situations.
