10x8-inch color publicity portrait with Whit BIssell for I Was a Teenage Frankenstein (1957), boldly signed in green felt-tip marker-- to match the creature's complexion!-- in-person at a film convention appearance about 15 years ago. In good condition. While working as a physique model for Bruce of L.A. and Bob Mizer, 6'1" athlete Gary Conway was hand-selected to play the titular creation in Herbert L. Strock's cult horror classic I Was a Teenage Frankenstein (1957), reteaming with the schlock director for How to Make a Monster the following year. From 1963 through 1965, Conway was also memorable as Detective Tom Tilson on the popular cop series "Burke's Law". Then, he found new fame as Captain Steve Burton on T.V.'s "Land of the Giants" (1968-1970), one of his best-loved roles.
