The SM5 is designed to provide a good balance between resistance and airflow, with a response that works well across the range of the euphonium. The SM5 has a 25.75 mm cup diameter, 6.63 mm rim width, and 7.3 mm throat with a barrel backbore. It is silver plated and made with a large shank for modern large-shank euphoniums.
