Spry, light-footed blend of Touriga Nacional, Castelão, Tinta Barroca and Syrah planted over the region's calcareous clay soils. The cool Atlantic influence brings out the aromatic side of the grapes - a dusty, powdery perfume with delicate violet florals. A well-executed balance of oceanic freshness in harmony with a charming, old-school rusticity, this understated tinto quietly overdelivers. The grapes were destemmed and crushed, then fermented with eight days of skin contact. The wine was then racked into 225-litre oak barrels, where it aged for twelve months before bottling with no additions.
