1970s Afra & Scarpa Monk Dining Chair

Italy, 1970s. An emblem of Italian modernism, this chair showcases the Scarpas’ masterful balance between structure and sculpture. Its design is defined by two solid timber trestles joined with exposed burnished steel bolts - an expression of material and form. The newly upholstered seat and back in supple tan leather highlight the refined craftsmanship and architectural precision for which the Scarpas are renowned. Newly upholstered in tan leather. Original frame with minor wear consistent with age.
