Fused Glass Workshop with Amy Griffin Join us at Cielo for our next Building Community Through Craft workshop, led by glass artist and expressive arts therapist Amy Griffin of Firefly Glass Therapeutics. In this two-hour, hands-on workshop, Amy will introduce participants to the basics of fused glass. You’ll learn how to cut, arrange, and layer sheet glass, frit, and stringers to create your own 4-inch square coaster. No experience is necessary, and all materials are included. This workshop is beginner-friendly and also a great opportunity for younger creators to participate alongside an adult. Workshop Details: Saturday, August 22 3:30–5:30 PM $100 per person · $175 per pair Closed-toed shoes required Beginners are welcomed! Notice: After the class, each piece will be kiln-fired at Firefly Glass and will be available for pickup or shipping 1–2 weeks later. About the Artist Amy Griffin is a glass artist, painter, and expressive arts therapist based in Santa Fe. Originally from Alabama, she has more than 25 years of experience working with glass and has trained at institutions including Pilchuck Glass School and Southwestern College. Through Firefly Glass Therapeutics, her woman-owned glass studio and private art therapy practice, Amy brings together professional glassmaking and expressive arts to create opportunities for creativity, connection, and healing. We’re excited to gather around the table again, learn something new, and spend an afternoon creating together.
