224,xxx Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone

1974 Selmer Mark VI tenor saxophone, s/n 224225. This is an exceptionally free blowing and effortless Mark VI, especially in the lower register. Low notes speak immediately without having to push, and the sax feels easy and responsive throughout the entire range. The pads seal very well from top to bottom. They are a mix of ages, although most are on the newer side. The neck is original to the horn and has never been bent down. The sax has been relacquered. It comes in a form fitting ProTec case. This is a great choice for someone primarily looking for a strong playing Mark VI. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find a great playing Mark VI tenor for under $5,000, and I think this one represents a lot of value.
