The Morgan Special Baritone Saxophone Mouthpiece begins with something that simply isn't being made anymore: a genuine new-old-stock vintage mouthpiece blank originally produced for Brilhart. Decades ago, Runyon Mouthpieces manufactured both finished mouthpieces and blanks for the Brilhart Mouthpiece Company. When Runyon eventually ceased operations, a quantity of unfinished vintage blanks remained. In 2025, Morgan Mouthpiece Company acquired a substantial inventory of these original blanks, including a number believed to have been produced for Brilhart Ebolin/Special baritone saxophone mouthpieces. These blanks were never finished into playable mouthpieces. Until now. Handcrafted from Vintage New-Old-Stock Blanks Each Morgan Special begins with an original vintage plastic blank believed to have been produced for a Brilhart Ebolin/Special baritone saxophone mouthpiece. The facing, tip and side rails, table and interior are then individually finished by hand by Morgan craftsmen. This is not a reproduction of a vintage blank or a newly manufactured copy. The foundation of each Morgan Special is an actual unused, new-old-stock blank that has been in storage for decades. Because the supply of original blanks is finite, production of this model is inherently limited.
