SAJOU Classic Cotton 400m x 6 spools selection

A hand-picked selection of ‘must have’ colours in Sajou’s beautiful 40weight long staple cotton. This classic cotton thread has a lovely sheen and is suitable for hand-piecing, machining or quilting by hand or machine. Included in this selection: WHITE 6100; MOUSE 6110 a soft pale blue/grey; SLATE 6172 dark grey, suitable for most dark fabrics; PUTTY 6266 a pale caramel; ECRU 6308 classic cream and CUDDLE 6951 versatile variegated pastel shades. Large 400m spools. The Fil Au Chinois cotton threads are singed and mercerised. When a thread is singed, it is passed through a gas flame which removes all the fluff and makes it smooth. Mercerisation is a process involving treating the thread with a caustic soda solution, which makes it easier to dye, shinier and more resistant to rotting.
