Artesano Vinters Taronja
Bright and aromatic with notes of ripe apricot, peach, yogurt, and a touch of spice. The palate is savoury with fresh acidity, and nice gentle tannins. Originally from Waihi, NZ, Mike Shepherd and Alex Craighead are the minds behind Artesano Vintners. Starting off in 2015 from just 1,100 bottles they now produce over 20,000 bottles annually, following a simple idea of winemaking: let the grapes and the place speak without covering them up. Their motto is “only grapes,” and their wines are made from certified organic fruit, harvested by hand, fermented with native yeasts, with no additives, no added sulfites, and no filtration.
