A catalog of an exhibition curated by Rod Paras-Perez at the Cultural Center of the Philippines in 1984, Ugat-Suri features the works of Filipino artists who utilize paper, wood, fiber, bamboo, adobe, and other materials that are considered indigenous to the ASEAN region. Among the artists are Pacita Abad, Paz Abad Santos, Napoleon Abueva, Santiago Bose, Imelda Cajipe-Endaya, Allan Cosio, Junyee, Julie Lluch, Arturo Luz, J. Elizalde Navarro, and Manuel Rodriguez Sr. The exhibition is presented by the Intergallery Group, a consortium of Filipino galleries including City Gallery, Galerie Bleue, Genesis Gallery, Hiraya Gallery, Luz Gallery, Museum of Philippine Art, Rear Room Gallery, and Sining Kamalig.
