A flat woven Haouz region rug from the area around Marrakech. Handwoven on traditional looms in 100% wool, naturally plant and vegetable dyed in a beautiful vibrant but earthy red base, large central diamond and 4 chickens woven into the unique design. This rustic Beldi style rug is often used in outdoor spaces in Morocco. Edges and fringe are finished with sturdy natural dark brown goats wool. The original flat woven stripe blanket end panels still in tact. Large size rug with a flat woven low-pile surface suitable for a large lounge room or large dining table.
