Mont'Albano Nero d'Avola 2024 (Italy)
Deep red in colour. An intense aroma of mature fruit, forest-berries, and hints of violets and spices. Delicious plum and blackberry flavours complemented by a full body and supple tannins. Mont’Albano was founded in 1985 in the heart of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, as a result of the intuition of Mauro Braidot who, unlike the majority of the producers of the time, converted his 5 hectares (12.3 acres) of vineyard to organic production. Mont'Albano was green before it was in fashion. For them it was, and continues to be, a life choice, a way of looking not only at the vineyards but at the world around us.
