Course Description: As sound practitioners, we frequently use a variety of musical instruments. In this course, you will be the opportunity to play a variety of both the popular and unusual instruments, learning the many nuances to bring out the best of each instrument. Course Objectives: Learn the nuances of playing the following instruments: Ocean drums Waterfall discs Rain Sticks Tingsha Euphonic Arrays Copper Miraphones Swinging Cymbals Koshi / Zaphir / Theta Chimes Svaram Swinging Chimes Wa-wa Tubes Song Pods Kalimbas Handpans and Tongue Drums Who Can Take This Course? This course is open to both the general public and to students of Rooted in Sound Academy Canada. Meet your Instructor Denise Blaney With a lifetime immersed in music, Denise holds a university degree in Theory, Composition, and Music History, and brings over 30 years of experience teaching music in elementary schools. Her journey took an exciting turn when she discovered crystal singing bowls, which led her to explore the world of Sound Practitioners. After hundreds of hours of training with leading experts and over 1,000 hours of research, she is dedicated to providing education that cuts through marketing hype, myths, and misinformation.
