Vintage Reuge Musical Pepper Grinder | Hand-Painted Italian Mill with Swiss Music Box Movement I first discovered these amazing pepper grinders from a sweet lady I follow on Instagram, Bonnie Chase Designs. She often shows hers in her table settings and I knew I had to find one for myself once I’d seen hers. It is a wood grinder with a wind up Swiss Reuge music box on the bottom. The music plays when you lift the grinder up and stops when you put it down. SO FUN! I can't wait for people to ask me to pass the pepper! It has brass or a gold toned hardware which is slightly tarnished in areas. The peppercorns are stored underneath the pheasant top. The handle is cranked and grinds the pepper out of the boars mouth. I tell the grands and kids it’s the barfing boar.πŸ˜‚πŸ€ͺ. T It’s so fun using this when I cook and serve. Talk about a conversation starter! Plus it looks great on the counter. I’ve collected several over the past few years so watch for more to come.
