Monstera: Relief Button Up Aloha Shirt- Baby Pink

This button up aloha shirt features our Monstera: Relief print on Baby Pink material with White ink. Monstera: Relief At Waiʻolena, South Hilo, there was a wall of monstera that would grab my attention. Its “presence” was intriguing. The dark green leaves, exotic, tropical, and grand, inspired this print. Building arrangements in our Hilo Store with these huge leaves would always bring out smiles! Always a favorite tropical image of mine, this design was definitely a lesson in cutting! Focusing the hand-cut on the background of the leaves made me pause often. Each cut was thought out carefully. I am proud of this 24” X 45” layout! Button Up Aloha Shirt Inspired by the ivy-league shirts of the early 1900s, the fabric designs are pure Hawai‘i, and the look is pleasingly fresh. The Button Up is an open front, tapered shirt with a full length placket. Coconut buttons are featured on the stand-up, button-down collar and on the front placket. Tuck it in or leave it out over the trousers for a more casual look. Either way, it's the perfect touch of crisp aloha!
