Written across a period of profound upheaval, the album documents a journey from emotional safety and creative flow into loss, numbness and disorientation, before gradually finding movement again. Framed around the idea of maladaptive daydreaming and fantasy as both refuge and trap, the songs explore addiction, self-sacrifice, burnout, fractured relationships and the question of whether freedom is something to be desired or feared. Drawing inspiration from cinema, literature and subconscious writing, the record shifts sonically and lyrically as time passes, mirroring real change rather than resisting it. The result is an album that does not offer neat resolution, but instead captures the fragile, ongoing act of learning how to exist, grieve and continue.
