Joey Croc Tee

I am Dash, I enjoy making surreal art at home and at school. My artwork’s name is ‘Joey Croc’. I drew my artwork to reflect Australian culture with kangaroos and crocs. I thought that kangaroos are quite Australian and crocs are quite Australian, so maybe a kangaroo can be wearing crocs. Kangaroos wearing yellow crocs in a carpark isn’t something you see every day, which makes my design surreal and quirky. The artwork was inspired by Reg Mombassa, an Australian artist and musician. I am part of Twenty 1 Tee, a group of diligent Year 7’s in Aspire Art at our school. We drew designs and put them on shirts and are selling them, with 100% of our profits going to the charity Youngcare which helps people with disabilities. Our purpose for this project was to learn to create shirts and sell them and then donate all the profits into the Youngcare charity. Designed By: Dashiell Tai
