Winter Propagation — Sat 18th July | 11:00AM - 1:00PM

Join Mangaroa Farms for Winter Propagation, where we'll gather to learn the art of keeping plants going through the colder months. Winter is a great time for propagating hardwood cuttings and root division of plants. We'll be working in our on-site nursery, managed by Heritage Nursery, exploring the practical skills that help gardens thrive year-round. You'll get hands-on with cuttings from various fruiting and non-fruiting species, and we'll talk through different rooting hormones and propagation methods that actually work. We'll also dive into root divisions, so you can see how it's done and have a go yourself. Everyone takes home root divisions and cuttings of herbaceous and tree species, including fruiting trees, to continue the mahi at home. This workshop is held in the shelter of our nursery at 196 Whitemans Valley Road, and will happen regardless of the weather. It can get chilly though, so rug up warm.
