Victorian Horse Signet Ring
Victorian oval signet ring with a horse engraved onto the face. Not just any old horse, though, this horse is (per heraldic terminology) rampant. Rearing up and punching the air with its front hooves. It's bridled, and tucked under its legs is a small six-pointed star that reminds me for all the world of an American sheriff's badge. Crafted in 9 carat gold throughout and dating from the latter half of the 19th century, circa 1880. Era: Victorian, circa 1880 Head: 13.0mm by 11.0mm Ring size: I or 4.5 US (resize for £55) Weight: 4.5 grams Marks: None, tested as 9ct gold Condition: Good antique condition, light wear commensurate with age and use - see images
