Buzz Rickson's BR42502 Buzz Rickson's Gold Tiger Stripe Trousers Short Length - Black
A variant of the French "Lizard" camo, Tiger Stripe camo was first employed by the armed forces of South Vietnam after the French left Vietnam. In the early 60s, U.S. advisors to the South Vietnamese began adopting the camo, wearing Vietnamese made fatigues with U.S. insignia. Never officially issued by the U.S. military, the USMC and Green Berets contracted with manufacturers across south east Asia, Korea, Japan to produce Tiger Stripe fatigues. As a result, there is a wide variety of patterns and color shade variations, making Tiger Stripe highly collectible amongst enthusiasts. Cut in the silhouette of the era's Tropical Combat Uniform, these pants feature a relaxed straight leg, slash pockets, waist adjusters, and button closure rear and cargo pockets.
