The whole pot is transparent, which means you can watch the tea colour develop as it steeps. That's useful for timing lighter teas like greens and whites, where a few seconds can change the flavour. The amber-coloured glass handle stays comfortable to grip, and the deep red glass knob on the lid is a nice visual touch. The borosilicate glass handles boiling water without issue and won't crack from temperature changes. You can also place it directly on an electric ceramic stove to keep the water warm during a session.
