PVC round edge trim — suitable for both wall and floor tile edges. For a sharp straight edge profile, see the Genesis ESP Straight Edge. For a premium metal finish, see our aluminium and stainless steel trim range. The Genesis ETR Round Edge PVC Tile Trim delivers a softly curved, safe finish to exposed tile edges on walls and floors. Unlike a straight edge trim, the rounded quadrant profile is forgiving on corners and is rated for floor use — a second upright support closes the face of the profile, preventing the trim lifting under foot traffic. Specially designed corner pieces (PR, PD, PE) are available separately, eliminating the need to mitre at internal and external corners. All profiles are 2.5m in length. Choose a trim depth 1.5–2.0mm greater than your tile thickness to account for the adhesive bed. 2.5m length Sizes: 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm Wall & floor tile edges Internal use only Corner pieces available — no mitring needed Safe rounded edge Material uPVC Length 2.5m per length Profile depth (D) 6 / 8 / 10 / 12mm Fixing tab width 21mm Face height 7.5mm Wall thickness 1mm Colour White Application Walls & floors floor rated Vicat softening point 93°C Suitable for Wall tile edge finishing Floor tile edge finishing Ceramic and standard tiles Cushion edge ceramic tiles Internal domestic use Not suitable for External / outdoor use Areas above 60°C continuously Contact with solvents or chlorinated hydrocarbons Heavy commercial floor traffic ETR round edge vs ESP straight edge — which do I need? Choose ETR round edge when Finishing floor tile edges — the ETR is rated for foot traffic, the ESP is not Working with cushion edge tiles — the overhang lip butts cleanly against the tile's own rounded edge Corners are involved — purpose-made corner pieces mean no mitring required A softer, more traditional finish is preferred over a sharp straight edge Choose ESP straight edge when A sharp, modern straight edge finish is required on wall tiles Working with rectified tiles where a crisp geometric edge is important Capping strips or ceramic skirting are needed Not suitable for floor use How to fit & cut tile trim Cutting to length 1 Measure and mark the trim length required before cutting. Always measure twice.Allow an extra 2–3mm if the trim will butt into a corner piece. 2 Cut with a fine-tooth mitre saw, hacksaw, or sharp craft knife and straight edge. 3 At corners, use the purpose-made ETR corner pieces (PR, PD, PE) rather than mitring.Corner pieces are available in 6, 8, 10 and 12mm to match all profile depths. 4 Lightly sand any rough cut ends before fitting. If mitring instead of using corner pieces, take care — the rounded face requires a precise 45° cut to avoid gaps. Fitting the trim 1 Select the correct trim depth — should be 1.5–2.0mm greater than the tile to allow for the adhesive bed.Dry-fit before applying adhesive to confirm position and length. 2 Trowel tile adhesive over the fixing area and press the perforated fixing tab firmly into it. 3 Trowel additional adhesive over the fixing tab, then firmly embed tiles so the tiled surface is flush with or up to 1mm below the top of the profile. The profile should never sit higher than the tile surface, particularly on floors. 4 Fill the joint completely with grout. Clean the trim face with a damp cloth before grout sets. Downloads Technical datasheet
