The Helmet Hair is a Straw Hat Bike Helmet with a full cascade of curly hair extensions sewn into the inner cuff, so every time you ride, people stop you to say "I love your hair." Someone once told me that the Straw Hat Bike Helmet makes my head look huge. After all, a helmet adds about an inch of bulk all around. Curly hair, it turns out, is the perfect disguise. The Disguise Inside the Disguise The Straw Hat Bike Helmet already looks like a hat, not a helmet. The Helmet Hair goes one step further: curly hair extensions sewn to the elastic inner cuff hide the helmet silhouette entirely. People won't know you're wearing a helmet. They'll just think you have great hair. Lighter Than the Original Hair Helmet The original Bike Pretty Hair Helmet was a full wig-covered helmet that weighed about as much as a small cat. I rode 30 miles in it. The Helmet Hair is the wearable version: same concept, a fraction of the weight, built around a real product you can actually ride in every day. Curly Hair Extensions Sewn to the Inner Cuff Tracks of curly hair extensions are hand-sewn to the hypoallergenic elastic inner cuff of the Straw Hat Bike Helmet cover. The hair flows naturally from underneath the hat brim, covering the helmet silhouette and creating the illusion of a full head of curly hair. Inspired by Wig Hats Wig hats are a real accessory: hats with a strip of fake hair sewn to the inner edge so it peeks out underneath. We applied that concept to a bike helmet cover. The result is something that has never existed before and probably shouldn't exist now, and yet here we are. Built on the Straw Hat Bike Helmet The Helmet Hair is built on our Comfort Helmet and Straw Hat cover, the same combination that over hundreds of people are already riding in. The Comfort Helmet features eleven vent holes for airflow and is designed to US CPSC specifications. The cover features a 3" protective brim and a memory plastic reinforcement wire for lasting shape. Comfortable Fit The Comfort Helmet features a roomier side-to-side fit compared to older helmet designs, with an interior dial-a-fit adjuster for a customizable fit. - US Medium: 21 to 23.5 inches (54–60 cm) - US Large: 23 to 24.25 inches (59–61 cm) A Note on the Hair The curly hair extensions are brown with an ombre finish. They are synthetic. They will not judge you. They will, however, receive compliments on your behalf. "I love your hair."
