Full Throttle Defense Location: Brewster Ice Arena 63 Fields Ln, Brewster, NY 10509 Dates: Monday - Thursday 7/6, 7/7, 7/8, 7/9 Schedule: 3 pm to 5 pm - On Ice 5:15 to 6 pm - Video Review/Class Room & off ice (Slide Board/Mobility Training) Open to: 2016 - 2010 **Players will be divided into small groups by skill/age Details: Technical Individual Skating guaranteed to improve Balance & Power Functional Edgework designed to educate players Professional KNPS Coaches 8 hours on ice/week 1 Hour Edges/Technical Skating/day 1 Hour Tactical Defense Drills 4 hours off ice - video analysis & review, slideboard instructional training Skills Taught - Major Focus: Gap control – ** major focus ** Transitional skating with puck & w/o puck Backwards skating 1st 3 steps & quickness Opening up passing lanes with lateral movement Angling opponents Creating shooting lanes Other Skills Taught: Initiating breakouts Winning battles along the boards Utilizing the net Quick decision making and situational control Scoring
