The increased backset helps move the knob further away from the edge of the door and reduces the likelihood of knocking your knuckles against the door jamb during operation. All tubular latches and deadbolts supplied within our sets are fire rated to CE 1121 CF 5531. Where a fire-rated installation is required, please consult your door supplier or project designer to confirm overall compliance.
