1971 Wm. S. Haynes Handmade Silver Flute, B Foot, Soldered Tone Holes, Wiseman Case
1971 Wm. S. Haynes handmade silver flute, s/n 38910. This is a very nice handmade Haynes with a solid silver headjoint and body, .016" tubing, B foot, open holes, inline G, French-style pointed key arms, and soldered tone holes. This flute was previously owned by a professional flutist and has been well cared for. It was just play tested by a DC-based military band flutist, who assessed that it is in excellent playing condition. The flute responds easily, feels even throughout the registers, and is ready to play without needing any work. This is a great example of a handmade Haynes from a desirable vintage. Haynes flutes from this era are known for their beautiful, centered sound and excellent build quality. The flute comes in a Wiseman case.
