Manufactured from 100% thermally bonded polypropylene fibers, this cartridge contains no glues, binders, or chemical adhesives that could contaminate the filtered liquid. Its dual-gradient density structure features larger outer fibers to capture coarse sediment and finer inner fibers to retain smaller particulate deeper within the cartridge. This layered design improves filtration efficiency, increases contaminant-loading capacity, and extends filter service life while maintaining low pressure drop. The large 4.5" OD “Big Blue” style design supports higher flow rates and longer operating cycles, making it ideal for whole-house filtration, reverse osmosis pre-filtration, and demanding process water applications.
