Ivory Spyglass in case, early 19th C

Elegant Ivory single drawer Spyglass or Monocular in original shagreen case, French, early 19th century. Opening to 4” (10 cm), with its tapered ivory body and mounts and draw tube of card board, the monocular has Galilean optics with a large 3 cm objective. It gives fine erect images, and is in fine condition. Measurements box 9 cm high and diameter 6cm.
