Ride The Gambia 2027

Join us to for an adventure ride in Africa, exploring The Gambia on a two-stroke motorcycle. This motorcycle tour takes in the local culture, scenery and food while experiencing road, sand and trail riding. This is a unique chance to meet like minded people (max group size 12), ride with a health worker and help a project that uses motorcycles to save lives across sub-Saharan Africa. The deposit secures your place and is non-refundable. Week 1 - Tuesday 26 Jan - Tuesday 2nd Feb 2027 Week 2 - Tuesday 2nd Feb - Tuesday 9th Feb 2027 PRICE BREAKDOWN £3,950 total cost. Made up of £700 non refundable deposit (to secure place) plus £1400 for the remaining cost of trip (payment deadline 30 Nov 2026). There is a further £1850 minimum fundraising donation (deadline 30 Dec 2026 - paid via donation platform). Includes flights, accommodation, transfers to and from hotel, use of motorcycle, riding shirt, all meals including hotel breakfast, packed lunches and evening meals (leaving meal and alcohol not included). DURATION 8 days / 7 nights FLIGHTS Flights from London Gatwick and transfers to hotel in The Gambia’s Senegambia area included. ACCOMMODATION Seven nights in 3* accommodation (with pools, beach, beautiful gardens, gym, shop, bar, restaurant). The hotel is of a good standard for the region with a large comfortable bed, towels, a bath or shower and laundry facilities. The hotel is well located with shops, atms and a range of restaurants in easy walking distance. There is a potential/optional overnight at a rustic rural location - details to follow. MOTORCYCLES Six days use of Yamaha AG100 motorcycle - the same used by Riders for Health The Gambia by health professionals. The bike is ideal for both on and off road. REQUIREMENTS* Full and valid motorcycle license plus recent riding experience in advance of the trip. Provide own motorcycle gear including helmet, boots, protective clothing and rucksack. Pay for and organise your own vaccinations/immunisations etc. Adequate travel/medical insurance including repatriation. Cover costs of any alcohol consumption and meal on the final evening. SCHEDULE* Day 1 - Afternoon/evening arrival - welcome meal Day 2 - Meet your motorcycle, motorcycle familiarisation + tour of Riders HQ. Day 3 - Road and beach riding. Day 4 - Follow a health worker and trail riding. Day 5 - Ride day with optional overnight in a rural community. Day 6 - Final riding day. Leaving celebration meal.
