Bulk Maui grown Sugar Free 70% Dark Chocolate - 100 pieces of individually wrapped 5 gram napolitains. Our 70% Maui Ku'ia Estate sugar free dark chocolate is made from our award-winning cacao. As single-origin chocolate, this cacao was 100% grown on the Maui Ku'ia Estate Cacao Farm. Our farm in Lahaina produces a very limited supply of cacao each year, and the flavor slightly varies with each harvest. Our Sugar Free Dark Chocolate is produced with allulose, which is a direct sugar substitute for sucrose. Allulose is not metabolized by humans to any significant extent and blood glucose levels are not increased by consumption of allulose; this is why it contributes negligible calories when eaten. Also, allulose does not contribute to tooth decay unlike sucrose! Because allulose is only 70% as sweet as sucrose, we use a tiny amount of monk fruit extract to add additional sweetness to the chocolate. Monk fruit extract is a plant-based sweetener that also has no calories and has no effect on blood sugar levels.
