Garrison guitars was founded in 1999 in Newfoundland, Canada producing acoustic guitars and mandolins and offered unique and innovative designs in acoustic guitar bracing. After being acquired in 2007, they began producing guitars for Gibson's Songwriters series of instruments. This 2009 DSM Dreadnought is apart of said series sporting features such as Gibson's traditional scalloped bracing, double acting truss rod, and a premium Sitka spruce top. Other significant appointments include a solid mahogany, 25-1/2" scale neck with an ebony fingerboard, white boltaron binding, mother-of-pearl dot inlays, chrome hardware, and Tusq saddles, nuts, and bridge pins. The open book headstock carries the Gibson logo in silk-screened gold letters completing the authentic Gibson look.
