Date: Friday, September 25, 2026 Time: 10:30am - 4:00pm Cost: $270 Location: 205C York St., Nevada City, CA 95959 Workshop Description: Spend the day fabricating your own sterling silver, bezel-set stone ring! We will demonstrate and walk you through each step of the process of transforming silver sheet, wire and stone into a wearable piece of art. At the end of the day, you'll leave with a one of a kind ring, made with your own two hands. We will provide an assortment of pre-cut cabochon stones for you to choose from, or you can bring your own stone to work with. If you choose to bring your own stone, it must be pre-cut and flattened on the bottom (this is what "cabochon" means) and under 1.5" in diameter. If you're unsure whether or not your cabochon stone will work, you can email Leora at hello@leoracoronel.com with photos of your stone. To maximize your ring-making experience, you may choose to take our Cabochon Workshop before this one. This will provide you with the opportunity to cut and polish your own cabochon from scratch. Considerations: We will provide protective aprons and masks, but please wear clothing that can take a beating, as we will be working with some harsh chemicals and open flames. Please bring whatever snacks, drinks and other provisions you need to get through the day, as you will be processing lots of new information and we want your mind and body to be well-fueled. We will be working with some teeny-tiny details, so if you wear glasses, please bring them so you can see! If you have long, manicured nails that you'd like to protect, this may impact your ability to engage with some of the techniques that you'll be learning in this class. Shorter nails make this craft a whole lot easier.
