Gunnister Man’s Purse Workshop Online - 2 x 2.5 hour classes

Step back in time and knit this near replica of a 17th Century purse found in Gunnister, Shetland by my Grandfather-in-law in 1951 the clothes and accessories became known as 'The Gunnister Man'. During this class you will learn how to knit the intriguing cast on and by the end of the second week, will have completed his purse. 2 versions are given for this design - one as near to original purse as possible and one that is the same size as the original but with modified gauge for easier knitting. You will receive a pdf pattern for both gauges. A kit including a printed pattern and yarn is available to purchase separately.
