ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGY
Medical science is constantly being reshaped by technological advances, and artificial intelligence represents the most current and impactful dimension of this transformation. The practice of obstet-rics and gynecology has become a significant area of research and application for artificial intelligence applications due to its diverse clinical presentation and the high-level decision-making processes it requires. In recent years, the literature on AI-assisted diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring methods in the field of obstetrics and gynecology has rapidly increased. The effectiveness of AI applications in numerous clinical processes, such as ultrasound image analysis, prenatal risk estimation, early diagnosis of gynecological malignancies, and de-livery management, is being investigated. These developments not only strengthen clinical decision support systems but also open new horizons for patient safety, sustainability of healthcare services, and personalized medicine approaches. This book aims to examine current knowledge on artificial in-telligence applications in obstetrics and gynecology from an inter-disciplinary perspective, compile current research, and shed light on potential future developments. The goal is not only to introduce technological innovations; It also aims to provide a comprehensive assessment, encompassing ethical, legal, and socioeconomic dimen-sions. Given the scientific, social, and ethical dimensions of women’s health, the integration of artificial intelligence in this field requires a careful, rigorous, and critical approach.
