Description: This is another kit in my collection of necklaces called "Painting with Beads". This one is designed with color-blocking and swirls. You'll learn three versatile techniques with this kit: 1) Starting in the middle, 2) Loading beads for a specific design pattern and 3) Attaching Magnetic End Caps. This necklace is designed with 20 "sections" of color-blocking with a contrasting swirl that winds the entire length of the braid. The finished necklace is about 19" or so or as short as you like (just use less beads). This necklace showcases a gorgeous handmade Boro Glass focal bead. The focal bead has metallic accents that give the bead alot of sizzle. You will need: Kumihimo Disk (I like to use the Beadsmith THICK Mini), 9 Bobbins, Scissors, Tape Measure, Glue to attach end caps (I use WeldBond available at Ace Hardware and some craft stores), Needle & Thread or Cord Zapper to finish ends. You should know: Kongoh Gumi braid structure (also called Round Braid) and how to drop beads. If you need a reminder check out Tip #14 Braiding with Beads. Kit includes: -1 Spool C-Lon Bead Cord - 8/ 0 Miyuki / Toho Seed Beads - Boro Glass Focal - 2 Porcelain Cheerio Beads - 4mm Acrylic Glue-in End Cap - Wide Eye Needle - Instructions with Photos
