Antique Edwardian ring Emerald diamonds pearls 14k yellow gold American (7694)

Antique Edwardian ring. 14k yellow gold, emerald, diamonds pearls. Made circa 1900 - 1910, almost certainly in the USA. Independent gemological appraisal. Measurements: Weight is 6.5 grams. US size 6 3/4. Length of bezel is 3/4 inch (17mm). Emerald 1.17ct; diamonds .55ct Description : Rounded rectangular shape. The ring is built up of concentric rings of gems, separated by fine gold borders. In the middle, raised above the level of the rest of the ring, is a wonderful bright green emerald. Rectangular in shape with rounded corners. It is held in a bright gold collet. This is followed by a ring of diamonds with an outer border of gold. It is quite unusual for diamonds to be set in yellow gold. Finally, an outer border of small pearls. Pearls have not been tested as natural/cultured. The yellow gold mount widens towards the shoulders and supports the ring somewhat above the level of the finger. It transcends naturally to a simple, yellow gold band. There is a perfect balance between the strong, bright color of the emerald and the more subtle, small diamonds and pearls. Beautifully made - fine workmanship, great design and strong eye-appeal. Marks and Metal: Inside shank is marked 14k. This is indication that the ring was most likely made in the USA. Condition: Good with negligible wear commensurate with age. We might find an old ring, but the stones are dull and in poor condition; We might find a great gem, but it's machine set in an ugly modern mass-produced setting. We feel lucky to find this antique ring that combines great qualities across the board.
