The background is illustrated with a collection of transport ephemera, including a panel from Shillibeer's original omnibus of 1929, the first Metropolitan Railway timetables of 1863, locomotive builders' plates, Underground and bus tickets, bus and tram stop signs and bus bonnet numbers. On the right there is an impression of Barnett Freeman's poster Circus which was produced in 1936.
