SILICA Series
The SILICA project represents a new phase in the artist’s practice, in which glass ceases to be both the starting point and the end goal. A material that has long embodied form, brilliance, and optical perfection is here opened to transformation—it dissolves in relation to other substances and becomes part of a broader process of formation. The exhibition is therefore not a return to the medium, but a deliberate step beyond its boundaries. The title SILICA refers to silicon, the fundamental element from which glass originates, but also to something more raw, deeper, and evolutionarily older. It is not about glass as a finished object, but about matter in motion—a state in which the material still carries the memory of pressure, sedimentation, layering, and growth. It is precisely at this point that attention shifts from the perfected surface to the very principle of formation itself.
