KOI SUNBURST SHRIMP (Neocaridina denticulata Var) Taiwan S grade
The Koi Sunburst is a rare and highly sought-after new color morph of dwarf freshwater shrimp belonging to the Neocaridina species (historically referenced under Neocaridina denticulata or modernly as Neocaridina davidi). Bred initially by Taiwan's world-renowned Skyfish line, this strain stands out because it displays uniquely variegated tricolor patterns containing shades of orange, yellow, red, translucent segments, and occasionally white. Unlike solid-colored cherry shrimp, the Koi Sunburst mimics the distinct mottled look of ornamental koi fish Dynamic Coloration: Shrimplets often start mostly clear or light orange and progressively develop deeper blotches of orange, yellow, and red as they mature High Genetic Variation: Because this line is relatively new, the exact placement of spots and color intensity varies significantly from shrimp to shrimp, making them an exciting project for selective breeding Parameter Ideal Range Water Temperature 22°C to 24°C (72°F to 75°F) is optimal, though they tolerate 18°C–28°C pH Level 7.0 to 7.6 (Neutral to slightly basic) General Hardness (GH) 6 to 8 dGH Carbonate Hardness (KH) 3 to 5 dKH Minimum Tank Size 5 gallons (approx. 19 liters)
