A beautiful and characterful 1936 Rolex ladies' wristwatch, presented in a solid 9ct gold case and powered by the Rolex Calibre 500 Type A, 15-jewel manual-wind movement.The watch features a wonderfully aged champagne dial with applied gold Arabic numerals, an outer minute track and subsidiary seconds at 6 o'clock. The elegant blued-steel hands provide a lovely contrast against the warm tones of the dial, which displays attractive age-related patina consistent with a watch approaching 90 years old.The inside of the case is signed R.W.C. Ltd (Rolex Watch Company Ltd) and carries the Rolex “25 World's Records – Geneva-Suisse” inscription. The case is marked 9/375, confirming solid 9ct gold, together with Glasgow import hallmarks and the date letter “n” for 1936.
