The Java variety has a somewhat uncertain lineage but definitely tastes like something from Ethiopia. We have a tiny amount of this coffee because it is some of the first coffee from their new experimental varietals farm called, Renacer (translates to "reborn"). The taste is a combination of the natural processing done at Rivense, the Ethiopian lineage, and Costa Rican terroir. To put it simply it is like drinking an Ethiopian coffee grown in Costa Rica! It has a thick body, restrained acidity, and a ton of sweetness. The best of both worlds.
