It is breathable, antibacterial, and absorbs 50% more moisture than cotton. The cultivation of the trees necessary for the fabrication does not require irrigation, pesticides or toxic chemicals - unlike cotton which consumes intensive amounts of water, chemicals and labor. As the production of Micro Tencel only takes approximately 2 hours from cutting the tree to baling the fabric for shipping, it uses significantly less water and energy than other manmade fibers.
