2024 'like sun' Chardonnay.

FARM Organic fruit from Toolamba (Yorta Yorta Country). The last harvest before the vineyard was ripped out. GRAPES 100% Chardonnay. Wild fermented. Zero additions. Zero sulphur. Unfined. Unfiltered. 11.5% Alc/vol. FIELD Two days maceration (for 80% of the ferment, with a special 20% continuing for 12 days maceration, shhh). All pressed to barrels for wild fermentation. Aged in same barrels for two years. Hand-bottled by gravity. TASTING Easy, driven, lovely acid, classic but very layered Chard. Lemony, limey, rounded, spiced, creamy on palate and super clean finish. DRINKING NOTE Made for the table, now. Label art by Una Purbrick.
