***PLEASE NOTE THIS WINE IS IN MAGNUM, 1.5 LITRE FORMAT*** Grape Variety: Riesling Producer: Brand Brothers (Daniel & Jonas) Region: Pfalz, Germany Certified Organic Wild Scale: 4/5 Vegan friendly wine 11% alcohol Winemaking: Organic Riesling grapes from the "Hill of Flags" plot were harvested by hand. 12 hour maceration and fermentation with indigenous yeast in old barrels where the wine then aged for 1 year. Blended with wines from different vintages. No fining, filtration or added sulphur. This Wine: Natural white wine with a medium body. This comes from the Brand Brother's on going project of taking the most unique barrel of Riesling from each vintage and only bottling it magnum. It usually shows Riesling's wilder side. This is a multi-vintage blend including wine from all the way back in 2017 so expect plenty of complexity! Notes on the Winemaker: Daniel and Jonas Brand hail from Bockenheim in the Pfalz region of Germany where they took over their family winery in 2014 to concentrate on producing natural wines. They showcase their ability to create very complex and high end wines made from Riesling alongside more simple and fun bottles such as their famous Wilder Satz field blend. All their cuvées are unique, alive and bursting with personality. Most of the wines feature a label with a sketch from the duo's grandmother which is a nice touch. We visited in 2018 to explore the vineyards and gain an understanding for this German winemaking region
