Learn to Knit

Welcome to the first step in your knitting journey. In this two part beginner class, we will make a pair of Fingerless Mittens designed by one of our instructors, Sarah Thornton. You will learn to cast on, the all-important knit & purl stitches, seaming, and casting off. We will also discuss the basics of pattern reading, reading a yarn label, gauge, and chat about why blocking your finished projects is a key step in the making process. All supplies are included in this class. We will be using Gathering Yarns Haynes Creek Aran or Custom Woolen Mills 2 ply Mule Spinner. Please arrive 15 minutes before class starts to choose your supplies. At this time we do not offer kids classes.
