Rolex Datejust ref. 1603 Stainless Steel Item #3261

Rolex Datejust ref. 1603 Stainless Steel Item #3261 Men’s Rolex Datejust, ref. 1603, C-1968 in stainless steel and features an engine turned bezel. The 36 mm Oyster stainless steel case, as with the rest of the watch, is in great, vintage condition. The watch is powered by a signed Rolex cal. 1575. This is a 26 jewel chronometer grade automatic movement with non-quickset date. Case, bezel and crown are all original and in great condition. The pie-pan style dial and hands look wonderful. The dial is the rarely seen light grey with steel hour markers topped with black onyx. We have just completed a full service on this watch, including a correct movement overhaul, all new gaskets, case tube, mainspring and crystal. This full service cost $825 at our shop. Most watch dealers don’t do this complete of service. They won’t spend the money. I do because I am a watchmaker and can’t sell a Rolex wristwatch unless it is correct! After service we ran a water resistance test. It passed both a pressure and vacuum test so the case is currently sealed (see last pic). Lastly, the watch comes on a new, high grade black genuine Crocodile strap that’s made in the US.
