SHAXI BLOUSE/MELON DOBBY

A unique dobby fabric, woven from a blend of recycled silk and linen that creates an earthy, uneven surface. With a touch of humor, we named it "Melon Dobby" because its raw texture brings to mind the skin of a Chinese melon. While the fabric carries a nice, worn-in look, the soft drape of the silk adds a quiet depth and elegance to the silhouette. Named after the village in Yunnan, this blouse is composed of two crossed-over layers of fabric. It closes with a single horn button on the left shoulder and two strings—one at the right shoulder, and another wrapping around the hip. It can be worn completely closed or left slightly detached.
