Wallet made from vintage hand-woven fabric #9
This wallet is made from a section of a Mayan women's huipil or traditional garment. It was initially woven on a back-strap loom - a very time-consuming process that may take a woman anywhere from a month to 6 months to complete one huipil. This is a great way to recycle the fabric. They have been made into sturdy wallets. 4 1/2" wide x 4" (open 8" long)
